From the pages of the Manick Sketchbook... |
Several years ago, due to tight monetary funds, this blogger sold off a lot of DVDs, CDs & books. Some of the DVDs are returning home, most recently Scanner Darkly the rotoscope animation film based on the Philip K Dick novel. Will watch it tonight perhaps.
Been reading Thomas Pynchon's Mason & Dixon which is why words like manick (in this post) are spelled with a k at the end. Pynchon adds a 'k' at the end of most if not all of the words in M & D which end in 'ic'-- & capitalizes a lot of the nouns & adjectives-- Melancholick, Musick, Satanick, & c. A fun book to read but for a reader who often daydreams while reading it's easy to get lost & lose track of what's going on if you don't pay attention. It's also a very thick book (773 pages) but most of the chapters aren't too long so you can take a lot of breaks...
This blogger is growing tired of typing out this blogger instead of 'I' so he will probably end this gimick &
just say fuck it, I give up I'm an I-- or am I?
